  • The Gospel

    Summary: This is a post to simply communicate the gospel according to the scriptures of the word of God. More in depth observations and study will be conducted in further articles if I have time for those.

    1Co 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
    1Co 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

    The gospel is simple:

    • Jesus Christ “died for our sins according to the scriptures
    • Jesus Christ “was buried
    • Jesus Christ “rose again the third day according to the scriptures

    According to the scriptures of the word of God
    (in the English format found in the Authorized King James Bible):

    • Ge 1:1 ¶ In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
    • Ge 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
      Ge 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
    • Ge 2:19 And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.
    • Ge 3:17 ¶ And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
    • Ro 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

    • Re 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
    • Ro 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
    • Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
      Joh 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
      Joh 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
    • 1Ti 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
    • Mt 1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

      Mt 1:22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
      Mt 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
    • Joh 1:1 ¶ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
    • Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

      Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
    • Ro 4:4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
      Ro 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
    • Ro 5:18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

    Any man, woman, or child that believes on Jesus Christ’s finished payment for all that person’s own sins according to the scriptures, “how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”, gets eternal life. Some examples of sins–to prove every person reading this has sinned before–include:

    -idolatry (worshipping false gods)
    -religious hypocrisy (hypocrisy in the name of religion)
    -covetousness (lusting after things that aren’t yours)
    -taking the Lord’s name in vain
    -lusting another person in your heart
    -not doing good that you knew you were supposed to do
    -murder
    -theft
    -pride
    -gluttony
    -etc.

    God created man to live righteously and to glorify him.
    The entire law for man to live righteously was summarized in these two commandments–which people fail every day:

    Mt 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
    Mt 22:38 This is the first and great commandment.
    Mt 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
    Mt 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

    If you’ve sinned even one time, then you’re a sinner.

    If a sinner believes on the gospel, then the sinner gets eternal life.
    Sinners that get eternal life go to heaven, not hell.
    God creates a “new man” in that person the moment that sinner believes on the gospel; so that person is now “born again” by God’s “Spirit“, spliced off from the nature of the “old man” (flesh/sin/etc.), yet who is still in a natural body of corrupted flesh that wants to sin (quotes from Ephesians 4:22-24, John 3:3-7).

    If a sinner rejects the gospel and dies having never believed on it, then that sinner gets eternal damnation in hell/the lake of fire to pay for his own sins–a price he can never truly fully pay back, which is one reason why it is eternal damnation.

    Anyone who is old enough to be able to reason and believe on the gospel (i.e., not babies or toddlers that can’t understand, or handicapped people that literally can’t understand, etc.–these all go to paradise), yet refuses to and leaves this life without having put his faith on that gospel, then goes to hell to pay for his own sins for eternity.

    Jesus (God Almighty in the flesh) died, was buried, and rose victoriously from hell, to be the sin offering for you, so you don’t have to go to hell to pay for your own sins.
    Why not believe on Jesus and his once for all payment today?

    Once a person believes on this simple gospel, that person gets eternal life.

    Eternal means for ever, so once a sinner gets eternal life, then that sinner–who is a new man spiritually–is sealed as a child of God for ever.
    No amount of good or bad a child does changes who his father is;
    So can a born again person (someone who believed the gospel) not change who his Father is: God.

    Sadly, many sinners continue to trust on their own righteousness, such as the Catholics/Orthodox/JWs/Mormons/Cults/SDAs/Muslims/Hindus/Judaizers/many Protestants/etc., who to try to go to heaven by their own works.

    God cannot accept their righteousness, so if they reject God’s righteousness, which he only gives to people in this church age by faith on Jesus’ payment for sins, then God rejects those religious hypocrites.

    So repent (change your mind) from faith on your water baptism/communion/sacraments/church membership/good works/going to church regularly/self-righteousness/religion/pillars/prayers/chants/surrenduring your life to Christ/etc. etc. (i.e., your works) to pay for your sins, rather believe only on the gospel according to the scriptures of the word of God to pay for your sins if you want eternal life and have not received that yet from Jesus Christ.

    As Jesus said,

    Joh 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
    Joh 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

    1Ti 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
    1Ti 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
    1Ti 2:6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

    Further, if your Jesus isn’t God Almighty, then your Jesus is false.
    As Paul the apostle wrote to Christians as he was moved by the Holy Ghost (God):

    2Co 11:4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

    And as John wrote of God:

    1Jo 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

    Confirmed by Paul:

    Ac 17:29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device.

    Ro 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

    Col 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
